TikTok Creator Rewards Program 2026: Requirements, Qualified Views and Real Payouts

TikTok Creator Rewards Program 2026: Requirements, Qualified Views and Real Payouts

TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays creators for views, but not for every view, and not for every video. Many creators hit the entry requirements, get accepted, and then wonder why a video with half a million views earned the price of a takeaway dinner.

The answer is almost always the gap between views and qualified views. This guide covers the 2026 requirements, what counts toward a payout, what creators report earning, and how to set up your content so more of your views actually pay.

10,000followers to apply
100,000video views in the last 30 days
1 min+minimum length for videos that earn
18+minimum age (19 in South Korea)

The 2026 eligibility requirements

To join the Creator Rewards Program, your account needs to meet every one of these:

  • At least 10,000 followers.
  • At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. This is a rolling window, so a quiet month can push you back below the line.
  • Be 18 or older (19 in South Korea).
  • A personal account in good standing. Business accounts and accounts with recent community guideline strikes aren't eligible.
  • Live in an eligible country. Lists published in 2026 include the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea and Brazil, with some sources adding Mexico. The list changes, so check the Creator Rewards page in your app.

When you qualify, the option appears under TikTok Studio or Creator tools. If you can't see it, you're either below a threshold or in a country that isn't supported yet.

Views vs qualified views: where the money disappears

Being in the program doesn't mean every view pays. TikTok only rewards qualified views. The commonly quoted definition from TikTok describes them as unique views from the For You feed, excluding fraudulent, paid, disliked, promoted and artificial views, and views under five seconds.

Break that down and a lot of your total disappears:

  • Only the For You feed counts. Views from your profile, the Following tab, or shared links don't qualify. (TikTok's Creator Academy has also been reported to count search views once watch time passes 30 seconds.)
  • Unique only. Someone who rewatches five times counts once.
  • Five seconds minimum. Fast swipes don't count, which is why hooks matter so much.
  • No paid or promoted views. Views from Promote or ads are excluded.
  • The video must be original and over a minute. Duets, Stitches, sponsored posts and short clips don't earn.
How a 500,000-view video can shrink to its paid views
Total views500,000
Qualified (typical reported range, high end)350,000
Qualified (low end)250,000
Creator-reported example: a 500k-view video showing 250k–350k qualified views. Your ratio depends on watch time and where your views come from.

How much does Creator Rewards pay?

TikTok doesn't publish a rate. Payouts are calculated as qualified views multiplied by an RPM (revenue per 1,000 qualified views) that varies with country, audience, watch time, search value and engagement. Creator-reported RPMs commonly fall somewhere around $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, with outliers on both sides.

Qualified views in a monthAt $0.40 RPMAt $1.00 RPM
100,000$40$100
500,000$200$500
1,000,000$400$1,000
5,000,000$2,000$5,000

Those are illustrative numbers built on creator-reported rates, not a promise. But they show why one viral video rarely changes anyone's life on Rewards alone. Consistent volume is what adds up.

RPM isn't fixed per account. Videos that get searched for, hold attention past the one-minute mark, and reach audiences in high-ad-value countries tend to earn noticeably more per view. Two videos with the same views can pay very differently.

How to earn more from the views you already get

Make every eligible video at least 61 secondsA 58-second video earns nothing from Rewards. Plan content that genuinely needs a minute and a half: tutorials, stories, breakdowns, reviews.
Win the first five secondsViews under five seconds don't qualify. Open with the payoff or the problem, not a slow intro or a logo.
Build for search, not just the feedPut the exact phrase people search in your on-screen text, caption and spoken words. Search views watched past 30 seconds have been reported to qualify, and search topics often carry better RPM.
Post original content consistentlyDuets, Stitches and reposts don't earn. A steady stream of original 1–3 minute videos keeps your 30-day view count above 100,000 too.
Check the qualified views column, not the totalTikTok Studio shows qualified views per video. Compare your best and worst performers and do more of whatever produced the highest ratio.

Can you buy your way to 10,000 followers?

We run an SMM panel, so you'd expect us to say yes. The honest answer is more nuanced. Followers can help you cross the entry line, and a larger count does make a new profile look more credible to visitors. But Creator Rewards doesn't pay for followers. It pays for qualified For You views, and TikTok explicitly excludes paid and artificial views from those. Followers who never watch your videos earn you nothing.

If you do use growth services, the sensible approach is to treat them as a credibility boost on a channel that already produces watchable content, rather than a substitute for it. Our guide on how SMM panels work explains the different service types, and you can compare TikTok options on our services page.

Other ways to get paid on TikTok

Creator Rewards is only one income stream, and for many creators it isn't the biggest. Worth knowing about:

  • LIVE gifts: viewers send gifts during live streams that convert to earnings.
  • Subscriptions: monthly paid subscriptions for exclusive perks and content.
  • TikTok Shop affiliate: commission on products sold through your videos and lives.
  • Brand partnerships: often the most lucrative, and they care about engagement and audience quality far more than raw follower counts.

Frequently asked questions

How many followers do you need for TikTok Creator Rewards?

10,000 followers, plus at least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, an account in good standing, and age 18 or older in an eligible country.

Do TikTok videos under one minute earn money?

Not through Creator Rewards. Only original videos longer than one minute are eligible. Shorter videos can still earn through LIVE gifts, Shop or brand deals.

What is a qualified view on TikTok?

A unique view from the For You feed lasting at least five seconds, excluding paid, promoted, disliked, fraudulent and artificial views.

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?

TikTok doesn't publish a fixed rate. Creator reports commonly fall around $0.40–$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, depending on country, audience and watch time.

Why is my qualified view count so much lower than my views?

Views from outside the For You feed, rewatches, swipes under five seconds, and promoted views are all excluded. Improving your hook and making videos worth searching for usually lifts the ratio.
